How to add an MCP server to ChatGPT

  1. Pick a remote server here (the list below shows only servers with a live endpoint) and copy its URL from the listing's install section.
  2. In ChatGPT open Settings, Apps & Connectors, then Advanced, and turn on developer mode. Availability depends on your plan.
  3. Create a connector with that URL, sign in if it asks, then enable it in a chat from the tools menu.

Before you connect one

  • Developer mode lets connectors write, not only read. ChatGPT asks before write actions; read what each confirmation says before you approve it.
  • Prefer servers that use OAuth, so ChatGPT gets a scoped token rather than a key with full access to your account.
  • Check the server's safety report first: which tools write, whether a remote endpoint needs auth, and what a package runs when it installs. What the scan checks.
