Kourier tools (7, 1 write)
write = sends, deletes, buys or postscomplete_onboardingFreeDeliver a dedicated revocable inference key exactly once after human approval and active entitlement. Never retry after issuance or ambiguous delivery; check status instead. Keep the key private and configure the client only with user approval.
create_checkout_linkwrite actionFreeCreate a verified sign-in, recurring Starter/Pro plan and explicit agent access approval link. Show only onboarding_url and user_code to the human; keep the token private. This does not itself charge or issue a key.
get_api_key_instructionsFreeHow a person or an agent obtains a Kourier API key: dashboard sign-up, agent sign-in (auth.md), or OAuth with PKCE.
get_modelsFreeThe model Kourier serves, its API model string, and context limits.
get_onboarding_statusFreeCheck approval and signed-webhook-backed entitlement, without identity or secrets. Poll every 5 seconds; complete only when ready. Stop on issued, denied or expired.
get_pricingFreeKourier's plans, monthly prices, concurrency limits, and what has no usage cap.
get_setup_instructionsFreeConfiguration for using Kourier from Oh My Pi, Claude Code, Codex CLI, or any OpenAI-compatible client.

Kourier MCP Server
Remote Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for Kourier — flat-rate hosted AI inference for coding agents.
Use the MCP server to discover plans, check model limits, configure your coding client, and start human-approved subscription onboarding. Kourier serves DeepSeek V4.1 Flash through OpenAI-compatible and Anthropic-compatible inference APIs, with no per-token billing or request-volume quotas. Plans differ by concurrency.
https://kourier.sh/mcpTransport: Streamable HTTP, stateless, JSON responses. Authentication: none required for the public MCP tools.
MCP provides service information and setup instructions, not model inference. Inference uses a subscription API key at https://api.kourier.sh/v1 (OpenAI-compatible) or https://api.kourier.sh/anthropic (Anthropic-compatible).
This repository documents the hosted service; there is no local server to install or run. The live MCP server provides four read-only information tools and three onboarding tools. Recurring billing and agent access require explicit human approval in the browser before a dedicated inference key can be issued.
Quick start
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http kourier https://kourier.sh/mcpCursor / clients using mcpServers
Add this entry to your client's MCP configuration:
{
"mcpServers": {
"kourier": {
"url": "https://kourier.sh/mcp"
}
}
}Configuration formats vary by client; use the remote Streamable HTTP URL above where your client requests a server URL.
Once connected, ask: “What are Kourier's plans, and how do I configure my coding client to use it?”
Adding this MCP server does not change the model powering your coding client. Use getsetupinstructions to configure Kourier as the inference provider separately.
Tools
Connecting to MCP and using the information tools requires no authentication. Onboarding status and completion require the private onboardingtoken returned by createcheckout_link; keep it out of logs, public messages, and repositories.
For example, call getsetupinstructions with:
{
"harness": "claude-code"
}The server also exposes the kourier-setup Markdown resource and the configurekourier** prompt, which accepts the same optional harness value.

Kourier: common questions
- Is Kourier MCP server safe?
- Mostly: it is graded B (77/100). Read the Kourier safety report
- How do I install Kourier?
- It runs remotely at kourier.sh. Add it to Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code or Claude Desktop with the snippets above, or call it through the mcp.market gateway without installing anything.
- Does Kourier need an API key?
- Not as far as the registry entry and our scan can tell: no credentials are declared or required.
- Is Kourier maintained?
- The last commit was 24 days ago (2026-10-11). The latest release is v1.0.0.
- Is Kourier up?
- 100% of our last 28 checks got an answer. We check remote servers about four times a day.
- What can I use instead of Kourier?
- Servers from other publishers that do the same job: Serena MCP: the IDE for your agent MCP server, Figma Context MCP server and Agent-Native Plan MCP server.
- How does Kourier compare with other AI and agents MCP servers?
- safety score 77/100 (higher than 50% of 4,460 AI and agents servers); tools 7 (the typical AI and agents server has 6); tools that change things 14% (typical: 0%. Fewer write tools means less an agent can break). Full comparison.
