Eventsorg tools (25, 5 write)

write = sends, deletes, buys or posts

Read from the package source without running it. The installed server may list more.

  • acknowledge_vendor_delay

    Mark a vendor as delay-acknowledged and suppress escalation alerts for a set period.

  • add_vendor

    Add a new vendor to the database.

  • add_volunteer

    Add a new volunteer to the database.

  • cancel_vendor_slotwrite action

    Cancel a vendor and mark them no-show. Logs the reason, notifies the coordinator by email, and returns a list of resources that need redistribution.

  • checkin_vendor

    Mark a vendor as checked in. Call this when a vendor physically arrives at their assigned zone.

  • escalate_to_coordinatorwrite action

    Send an email to the event coordinator with full incident details, what has already been attempted, and the current event snapshot. Use for high-severity incidents or situations requiring human judgment.

  • get_active_incidents

    Returns all currently open (unresolved) incidents, ordered by severity (high first) then by time reported (oldest first).

  • get_directions

    Get walking directions between two locations. Returns estimated time and turn-by-turn steps.

  • get_event_summary

    Master status tool. Returns a full snapshot of the event: vendor check-in counts, understaffed zones, overdue vendors, and active incidents. Call this at the start of any status check.

  • get_overdue_vendors

    Returns all vendors who were expected to check in more than 15 minutes ago and still haven't, excluding those who have sent a delay notice that's still valid.

  • get_sms_history

    Returns the full SMS conversation thread for a given phone number, sorted chronologically.

  • get_understaffed_zones

    Returns all zones where the number of currently active volunteers is below the minimum required. Includes how many more volunteers are needed.

  • get_vendor_status

    Returns the full record for a specific vendor, including their complete SMS history.

  • get_volunteer_availability

    Returns active volunteers. Optionally filter by role. Useful for finding someone to reassign.

  • get_weather

    Get current weather conditions and 2-hour rain forecast for a location. Use this to assess if outdoor zones need to be evacuated.

  • mark_incident_resolved

    Close an open incident by marking it as resolved.

  • move_zone_indoors

    Rain response tool. Moves ALL active volunteers from an outdoor zone to an indoor zone. Sends SMS + walking directions to each volunteer automatically. Updates zone records.

  • ping

    Connectivity check. Returns 'pong'.

  • query_dbwrite action

    Execute a read-only SQL SELECT query on the local SQLite database. Useful for answering ad-hoc questions about the event state.

  • reassign_volunteer

    Move a volunteer to a different zone. Updates the DB, sends an SMS notification, then sends a follow-up SMS with Google Maps walking directions.

  • report_incident

    Log a new incident at a zone. Use this whenever something goes wrong — medical, technical, crowd, or security.

  • report_volunteer_absent

    Mark a volunteer as absent. Use this when a volunteer calls in sick or doesn't show up for their shift.

  • send_smswrite action

    Send an outbound SMS to a vendor or volunteer. Use this to notify them of reassignments, reminders, or any urgent update. The message is logged automatically.

  • sync_to_sheets

    Push the current vendor statuses, zone headcounts/volunteers, and open incidents to the Google Sheet dashboard. Call this after any major status change.

  • update_zone_headcountwrite action

    Update the current headcount of a zone. Returns a crowd warning if headcount exceeds 90% of zone capacity.

🌐 EventsOrg MCP: Autonomous AI Event Manager

An open-source Model Context Protocol (MCP) server and background autonomous agent designed to run the logistics of live events.

EventsOrg MCP gives LLMs (like Claude and Gemini) the "hands" to read live event data, reassign volunteers, cancel missing vendors, and communicate with staff via physical SMS messages.

Note: This repository is a framework. It is designed so that any event organizer can deploy their own instance of this code, attach their own API keys, and manage their own isolated event.

✨ Features

  • MCP Protocol Native: Exposes over 20+ event management tools (e.g., reassignvolunteer, getvendor_status) to any standard AI client.
  • Twilio SMS Orchestration: The AI can text volunteers physical SMS messages. Inbound SMS replies are automatically parsed and routed back into the database.
  • Autonomous Agent Loop: Includes a standalone Gemini-powered agent (agent.ts) that runs 24/7, actively monitoring the event and resolving issues before a human even notices.
  • Google Sheets Sync: Automatically pushes real-time database state to a Google Sheets dashboard for human coordinators to view.
  • Zero-Config Local Webhooks: Uses Cloudflare Tunnels (untun) to automatically route live Twilio SMS back to your localhost during development.

🏗 Architecture & Use Cases

This codebase supports three entirely different ways to interact with the AI:

1. Local Desktop Plugin (stdio)

Perfect for solo event organizers or local development. By connecting the code to Claude Desktop or Cursor, the AI talks directly to the local SQLite database via standard terminal input/output (stdio).

  • Requires: Your laptop to stay open and running.

2. Public API for AI (HTTP / SSE)

By starting the server with the --transport http flag, you turn the local server into a globally accessible web API. Other developers, LangChain apps, or AI IDEs can connect to your event remotely using Server-Sent Events (SSE).

  • Requires: Deployment to a cloud host like Railway, AWS, or Render.

3. The Autonomous Virtual Coordinator

You don't even need a chat window. By running the included agent.ts script, a Gemini-powered worker wakes up every 5 minutes, checks the database for anomalies (missing vendors, safety incidents, weather alerts), fixes them, and texts the staff—completely autonomously.

🚀 How to Deploy Your Own Event

Because this system uses a local SQLite database (grid.db), one deployment equals one event. If multiple organizers want to run different events, they must deploy their own separate instances of this code.

Prerequisites

You will need API keys for:

  • Twilio (Account SID, Auth Token, Phone Number)
  • Google Cloud (Service Account JSON with Sheets API enabled)
  • Google Gemini (For the autonomous agent)

Environment Variables

Copy the .env.example file to .env and configure your API keys before starting the server. Alternatively, if deploying to a cloud platform (like Render, AWS, or Railway), add these directly to your dashboard:

# AI Models
GOOGLE_API_KEY=your_gemini_api_key

# Twilio SMS Engine
TWILIO_ACCOUNT_SID=your_twilio_sid
TWILIO_AUTH_TOKEN=your_twilio_token
TWILIO_PHONE_NUMBER=+1234567890

# External Integrations
OPENWEATHER_API_KEY=your_openweather_key
GOOGLE_MAPS_API_KEY=your_maps_key

Shortened. The full README is on GitHub.

Nothing above is checked by us. What we check is on the safety report.
