Wise tools (14, 4 write)

write = sends, deletes, buys or posts

Read from the package source without running it. The installed server may list more.

  • confirm_action

Step 2 of 2: performs a transfer, new recipient or cancellation prepared with a prepare_* tool. ONLY call this after the user has

  • discard_action

Throw away an action prepared with a prepare_* tool, before it's confirmed.

  • get_exchange_rate

Wise's mid-market rate between two currencies, now or at a past date/time.

  • get_quote

Price a transfer or conversion: rate, fee, amount received and estimated delivery. Creates nothing the user sees and moves no money.

  • get_recipient_requirements

Which bank details Wise needs to add a recipient in a currency (e.g. IBAN for EUR, sort code + account number for GBP).

  • get_transactions

List activity on a Wise profile, newest first: card payments, transfers, conversions, cashback, direct debits.

  • get_transferwrite action

Details of one transfer: amounts in both currencies, rate, reference, status, created date and recipient.

  • list_balances

Current balances in every currency plus Jars (savings). `amount` is what's available now; `reserved` (pending card payments) is already deducted from it, not extra money. Default: all profiles.

  • list_profiles

List the Wise profiles (personal and business) this token can access, with id, type and name.

  • list_recipients

Saved recipients (name, currency, account type, account number/IBAN). Default: all profiles.

  • list_transferswrite action

Transfers (money sent or converted) on a profile, newest first, with both currencies, reference, status and recipient name.

  • prepare_cancel_transferwrite action

Step 1 of 2 to cancel a transfer that hasn't been paid yet (status incoming_payment_waiting). …

  • prepare_recipient

Step 1 of 2 to save a new recipient. Use get_recipient_requirements first for the right `type` and `details` keys. …

  • prepare_transferwrite action

Step 1 of 2 to send money to a saved recipient (list_recipients / prepare_recipient). Gets a live quote and checks Wise's requirements.

Wise MCP

Ask Claude or ChatGPT about your Wise money. The simplest, most complete MCP server for your Wise balances, card payments, transfers and recipients that can also prepare transfers you approve twice. Run it locally with one npx command (Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor…), or host it as a custom connector for Claude and ChatGPT.

"How much did I spend on groceries in September?"

"What's left in my jars, in EUR?"

"Show the transfers I sent to Mario this year and the rate I got."

"Send Mario 120 EUR for dinner."

Give it a Wise API token once and your assistant can answer questions like these across all your Wise profiles, personal and business. It can also prepare transfers, new recipients and cancellations. Every change needs your explicit approval in chat, and a transfer only moves money once you pay it in the Wise app.

Why this one

The simplest way to connect Wise to an AI assistant, and the most feature-rich Wise MCP server we know of (October 2026):

  • One token, no partner account. Other servers need Wise partner OAuth credentials or stop at read-only basics. Here a personal API token is all you need, locally or hosted.
  • Your real spending. The activity feed includes card payments with clean merchant names and amounts, plus transfers, conversions, cashback and Jars, across personal and business profiles.
  • Writes you can trust. Quotes, new recipients, transfers and cancellations, all two-step and approved in chat; transfers are paid by you in the Wise app.
  • Everywhere. npx for Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Codex and Cursor, a one-click Claude Desktop extension, or a self-hosted connector for Claude and ChatGPT on web and mobile.
  • Built for real accounts. 14 tools, encrypted token storage, session management, an audit log, and end-to-end tests for both modes.
