All Paint Colours — API & MCP server

Programmatic access to every paint colour from every major UK manufacturer: 5,300+ colours from 14 retail brands, plus the RAL Classic and BS 4800 reference systems, with cross-brand colour matching (CIEDE2000), prices, technical finish specs, a room-by-room paint planner, and market trend data.

What it answers

ranked by £/m² saving (fairer than £/L, since coverage differs by brand)

  • "What's the closest Dulux colour to Farrow & Ball Railings?"
  • "Same colour, but cheaper" — visually equivalent paints from other brands,
  • "What paint matches this hex from a photo or a brand palette?"
  • "What's the retail equivalent of RAL 7016 / BS 4800 18 B 25?"
  • "My bedroom is 4m × 3.2m — how many tins, which primer, what's the cost?"
  • "What's trending in greens this month, and who's changed prices?"

Every tool is visible at every tier; above-tier calls return a structured requires_tier error with an upgrade link rather than a bare failure.

Notes on the data

Colour data is factual information gathered from public manufacturer sources. Hex values are sRGB approximations of physical paint — always check a sample pot before committing. Prices are indicative and change; coverage figures are the manufacturers' own. Trend data is a relative 0–100 interest index derived from site engagement, not industry sales.

All Paint Colours is not affiliated with or endorsed by any paint manufacturer; brand names identify their products.

Licence

The documentation in this repository is CC0. The colour data served by the API is subject to the terms at https://allpaintcolours.co.uk/developers/ — no bulk redistribution.

Nothing above is checked by us. What we check is on the safety report.
