  • current_branch

    The currently checked-out branch.

  • git_checkout

    Switch to a branch or commit (updates the working tree).

  • git_clone

    Clone a remote repo (HTTPS) into a directory inside GIT_ROOTS.

  • git_commitwrite action

    Create a commit from the staged changes. Author falls back to git config if name/email omitted.

  • git_create_branchwrite action

    Create a new branch (optionally check it out).

  • git_diff

    Unified diff. No refs → working tree vs HEAD; one ref → that ref vs working tree; two refs → refA vs refB. Optional single-file filter.

  • git_fetch

    Fetch from a remote (HTTPS).

  • git_file_history

    Commits that touched a specific file (follows the path).

  • git_log

    Commit history (newest first). Optional ref, limit, and file path filter.

  • git_pull

    Fetch + fast-forward the current branch (HTTPS). Errors if a merge is required.

  • git_push

    Push commits to a remote (HTTPS). Requires GIT_TOKEN for private repos.

  • git_show

    A commit's metadata + the files it changed (vs its first parent).

  • git_stage

    Stage a file (git add).

  • git_status

    Working-tree status: staged, unstaged, and untracked files + current branch.

  • git_unstage

    Unstage a file (reset its index entry to HEAD).

  • list_branches

    Local branches in the repo.

  • list_remotes

    Configured remotes (name + URL).

  • list_tags

    Tags in the repo.

  • read_file_at

    Contents of a file at a given ref/commit (default HEAD).

  • search_log

    Search commit messages for a substring.

Quickstart
